Optional ChatGPT ad measurement

With separate consent in the banner, the OpenAI pixel measures page views and enquiries successfully sent from the contact form or questionnaire. These events, technical browser information and attribution identifiers are sent to OpenAI to measure our ads. The site code does not send your name, email, phone number or enquiry text to this pixel.

If automatic advanced matching is enabled in Ads Manager, the OpenAI SDK may also use contact details hashed in the browser to match conversions. This feature does not send raw contact details.

After acceptance, OpenAI uses the cookies __oppref (30 days after it is written) and __obref (365 days after creation). These periods concern browser cookies. You can reject this measurement while accepting internal analytics, or withdraw consent through “Analytics and advertising” in the footer: events stop and the SDK removes these cookies.

Data collection

This site collects or uses the following data:

• What you send us through the contact form (name, email, message and, if you provide them, company, phone number and project type) or through the project presentation questionnaire
• Your answers to the questionnaire, kept in your browser until you send it
• Traffic statistics, only if you accept them, measured by our own tool, hosted on our servers and cookie-free
• Your IP address, in the server logs and, if you accept it, for audience measurement (details below)

Use of data

The data collected is used only to:

• Respond to your requests and follow up on them
• Measure traffic on our pages to improve the site and our services
• Ensure the security of the site and diagnose technical problems
• Measure the results of our ChatGPT ads, with your separate consent

We do not sell your data. Our maxa-analytics statistics stay on our servers. Ad measurement sends events to OpenAI only with separate consent.

Legal basis

• Analytics and ad measurement: your separate consents, given in the banner shown on your first visit
• Server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and diagnosing technical problems
• Contact form and questionnaire: your request, which we handle using the information you send us; for the questionnaire, also your consent, given by ticking the box provided before you send it

Contact form and questionnaire

When you send the contact form or the questionnaire, what you entered in it is passed to us by our server as a Discord notification (Discord Inc., a company based in the United States), the tool we use to receive requests. The address of this service is never exposed to your browser.

Cookies, local storage and audience measurement

Optional cookies. Only OpenAI measurement, if you accept it, uses cookies. Fonts are served from our own servers.

Browser local storage. It is used for two things only: keeping your answers to the questionnaire so you do not lose them along the way (they are cleared once the questionnaire has been sent; until then, they stay there until you clear this site's data in your browser), and remembering your choices about analytics and ad measurement, so that you are not asked again on every page. Nothing else is stored there.

Our own measurement tool, maxa-analytics, only loads once you have given your consent: until you accept, nothing is measured. It is hosted on our servers: measurements are sent to t.maxadev.fr and viewed in a private dashboard, without going through any big data aggregator. It works without cookies and without any persistent identifier: no browser fingerprint and no tracking from one site to another. What is recorded:

• The date and time
• The page viewed (address and parameters), the site you came from and, if any, the campaign parameters (UTM) of the link you followed
• The browser and its version, the operating system, the device type, the screen width and the language
• The country, region and city, together with the approximate coordinates (latitude and longitude) of that city, derived from your IP address using a geolocation database (DB-IP) stored on our servers; its monthly update sends no visitor data
• The time spent on the page and how far you scroll down it (scroll depth)
• Clicks on buttons and links (text shown, link destination, section of the page), including the options you click in the questionnaire and the contact form (for example the budget range or the project type), links to other sites and file downloads
• Form submissions: which form and in which section of the page, never the text you type into its fields

Visits and IP address. Pages viewed less than 30 minutes apart count as a single visit. To recognise it, the tool computes a hashed identifier from your IP address, your browser, the site and a random value (salt) that changes every day and is destroyed after two days. Your IP address is never stored with page views or events: only the visit keeps the one it started with, for 30 days, for security and diagnostic purposes. That IP address is then erased; the country, region, city and its approximate coordinates remain. Once these periods have passed, the statistics can no longer be linked to anyone.

Accepting or declining measurement. The banner shown on your first visit lets you choose: accept, decline, or customise to accept only the measurement of the pages you view, without your clicks. Declining does not prevent you from using the site in any way. You can change your mind at any time, with the ‘Analytics and advertising’ link at the bottom of every page or here: change my choice. If you withdraw your consent, measurement stops immediately. The ‘Do Not Track’ signal sent by some browsers is not taken into account.

Server logs

The server that receives visits keeps a log of every request: IP address, site address and page requested, response code, response size, browser and referring site. This log is used for the security of the site and for diagnostics.

Data retention

Your personal data is kept only for as long as strictly necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, in accordance with the GDPR.

• Contact requests and questionnaire: as long as it takes to handle the request and follow up on it
• Questionnaire answers kept in your browser: cleared once the questionnaire has been sent; otherwise, they stay there until you clear this site's data in your browser
• Audience measurement: the IP address from the start of a visit is erased after 30 days, and the random value (salt) used to recognise a visit is destroyed after two days
• Server logs: 14 days, then hourly totals only, with no IP address, page or browser, kept for 400 days
• Traffic statistics, which can no longer be linked to anyone once these periods have passed: no time limit

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right to data portability
• Right to object

You can withdraw your consent at any time: for audience measurement, with the ‘Audience measurement’ link at the bottom of every page; for the questionnaire, by writing to us. This does not affect anything done before you withdraw it.

They apply to your contact requests and your answers to the questionnaire. They also apply to records linked to your IP address, for as long as they exist (30 days for audience measurement, 14 days for server logs): in that case, please tell us your IP address. Beyond that, the statistics can no longer be linked to anyone: there is no way to find your data in them, and therefore no way to export or delete it.

You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

We implement all appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
